This time, influencer BB (Bibi), who knows all about enjoying Universal Studios Japan, will be guiding you and your children. She will introduce you to the "Power-Up Band ™," which will enhance your sense of immersion, as well as gourmet food and photo spots that can only be found in this area!

The BB family loves USJ as a whole family. They always decide on a fashion theme when they visit, and this time they went with Mario and friends!
Once inside the park, head straight to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™.
Because SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ is a popular area, we recommend purchasing an Area Timed Entry Ticket: Advance Booking, which allows you to enter at a designated time. Before entering the park, purchase a Universal Express Pass with an admission guaranteed ticket from the online ticket store. This will ensure you can enter the area and also shorten the waiting times for popular attractions.
Commemorative photo required! Enter the world of Mario and friends through the pipe
A must-see photo spot is the pipe at the entrance to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™! Take a commemorative photo of yourself energetically jumping out of the pipe. If you hand your smartphone to a staff member, they will also take a video of you.
To make SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ experience even more enjoyable, you'll want to get your hands on a Power-Up Band. While there are places to purchase them once you enter the area, we recommend purchasing them from the Superstar Plaza Cart near the entrance.
Once you've purchased Power-Up Band, link it to the official Universal Studios Japan app. Open the app, select "SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ " from the menu button, and scan the QR code on the back of Power-Up Band to register it.
Once inside the area, be sure to take on the " Power-Up Band ™ Key Challenge," an activity that can only be enjoyed by those wearing a Power-Up Band . There are many challenges that can be played cooperatively with friends, and you'll have so much fun that you'll feel like you're immersed in the game.
You can also collect coins by hitting ? Block in the area, collect stamps, and enjoy even more content with the Power-Up Band. You can also record your adventures in the app.
The Power-Up Band is an item that will make your visit to Nintendo World™ many times more enjoyable! It connects to the app and saves your records, so you can continue from where you left off the next time you visit. You can also save time by taking turns shopping at the Superstar Plaza cart while waiting to take photos at the entrance.
Create tons of memories! Enjoy the world of Mario on Yoshi's back
Once you pass through the pipe, you'll find yourself in the world of Mario and his friends! It's exciting to feel like you've entered a place you've seen many times in the game.
BB said, "When you come to the Mario area, this is the first thing you should do!" and headed first to Yoshi's Adventure™.
This attraction involves riding on the backs of colorful Yoshis and overlooking SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™, where you'll be greeted by adorable Toads. Familiar enemies like Thudung and Piranha Plant also make appearances, so wherever you look, you'll find yourself transported to the world of the game.
What's more, Yoshi's Adventure™ is an attraction where you can take photos with your own camera or smartphone! You can take lots of videos and photos while enjoying the world of the game.
* Yoshi's Adventure™ is available to people over 92cm tall.

It's great to ride on Yoshi's back and get a panoramic view of the entire park! The ride is at a leisurely pace, so you can enjoy it with your kids without worry. The feeling of looking down at the colorful world from above is so refreshing that there were many spots where you'll want to take photos.
Mario Kart recreated with the latest technology! An immersive attraction
Next, we went to "Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge™," which recreates the world of Mario Kart.
In this attraction, you put on AR goggles designed like Mario's hat, get in a cart, and move forward together with Mario, Princess Peach, and friends, defeating enemies. You can enjoy a world that has been realistically recreated using the latest technology, including AR and projection mapping.
It's packed with the charm of Mario Kart, with you holding the steering wheel to control the movement of the kart, picking up items and throwing them at your enemies, and more. What's more, the race and the outcome change every time you drive, so it's sure to be exciting!
Due to height restrictions, the youngest child, Ruuna, stayed home with her mother. All the members who rode competed for position and had a great time even after the race.
* Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge™ can only be played by people 107cm or taller.
(Children between 107cm and 122cm tall must be accompanied by an adult)
There is a system called "Child Switch" that can be used when a member cannot ride an attraction due to height restrictions or when a member needs to be accompanied. With one wait time, each accompanying person can take turns riding the attraction. When you would like to use Child Switch, just let a nearby crew member know that you would like to use it.
After the ride, head to the shop next door, "Mario Motors™." The garage-themed store is filled with Mario Kart merchandise.
It's so immersive, it feels like you're racing in the world of Mario Kart! When you put on the AR goggles, the characters appear right in front of you. You get the feeling that you're inside the game, grabbing items and hitting shells. Both children and adults will be hooked!

After enjoying the two ride-type attractions, we bought some popcorn at Pit Stop Popcorn near Mario Kart. We chose the Bomberman popcorn bucket. Rion, the older brother, recommended black pepper, but the majority voted for caramel peach flavor.
Toad Cafe™: A selection of adorable menu items
If you're hungry, come here! This is a restaurant in Mario World where Chef Toad will welcome you.
Head to 1UP Factory™ for souvenirs!
If you're looking to buy souvenirs, head to the goods shop "1UP Factory™." Based on the concept of a "Mushroom Kingdom toy factory," the shop features an entrance shaped like a clay pipe and exciting interior decorations like gears and screws.
There are items such as headbands and apparel that you can wear right away to lift your spirits, as well as a wide selection of souvenirs such as stuffed animals and sweets.
One-Up Factory is full of things you'll want to buy! The kids got excited every time they found their favorite character. The exterior and interior are of high quality, and just looking at the goods is fun.
The super popular zone! "Donkey Kong Country™"
Next, we head to "Donkey Kong Country™." This area, which was expanded in December 2024, allows you to experience the world of the Donkey Kong series. Based on the jungle where Donkey and his friends live, the area is filled with items reminiscent of scenes from the games!
This letter "K" is the same as the one seen in the game! You can also enjoy activities using the Power-Up Band in the Donkey Kong area, so be sure to check it out. Hold the Power-Up Band over the "DK" mark below the letter to get a stamp! Other letters are also placed in the area, so be sure to look for them.
Jump out of the Golden Shrine on a trolley!
The main attraction at Donkey Kong Country is "Donkey Kong's Crazy Trolley™." This attraction involves riding a trolley-shaped ride from the Golden Shrine and racing through the jungle, with its unpredictable movements getting everyone excited. It's a truly "crazy" attraction that will have you both laughing and screaming.
It's a very popular attraction, and it was the BB family's first time riding it. BB and Rion struck a perfect pose for the camera, but their younger sister, Nina, was in tears... and then appeared in the photo with an enlightened expression.

It was more thrilling than I expected, and the ups and downs in speed and the sharp turns were addictive. Not only adults, but even the kids were scared, but they were hooked and said, "I want to ride it again!" The reactions of the whole family were amazing, making it the best attraction!
A souvenir barrel-shaped mug with a shake and a hearty hot dog!
After safely surviving the Crazy Trolley, I bought a "DK Crush Sundae - Banana Chocolate Flavor - with a mug" from the food cart "Jungle Beat Shake."
I also purchased a "DK Wild Dog - Avocado & Cheese Sauce" using a food card in the area.
The menu faithfully recreates the wild world of Donkey Kong.
The Wild Dog, which contains a large sausage, is very filling, and the Crush Sundae has a rich, sweet banana flavor. The barrel-shaped souvenir mug is a nice touch, too.
The barrel-shaped mug is a keepsake that you can keep and use after you get home, making it a very satisfying souvenir. Everyone was delighted with the playful menu!
SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ has many other fun little details, such as Pikmin hiding here and there. You could spend the whole day playing in just one area.
And of course, don't forget to collect coins and stickers with Power-Up Band!

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ isn't the only place at USJ where you can enjoy the world of Mario and friends. In the Hollywood area, there's the Mario Cafe & Store™, where you can enjoy limited edition sweets and souvenirs. If you're a Mario fan, this is a must-see!
The interior of this store is also decorated with cute walls and other items inspired by the world of Mario.
The fluffy pancakes and cream create an exquisite combination of sweet and sour flavors. The light cream makes it so delicious that even children will eat it all up in no time.
The shop is filled with cute items that make perfect souvenirs, so be sure to check them out before you leave.
The pancake sandwich is absolutely adorable! It's also perfect for taking photos, and just having it on the table is a fun menu item.

BB and his family thoroughly enjoyed SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™. "No matter how many times I come, I never get bored of the excitement of seeing the scenery I saw in the game unfold right before my eyes! We had so many hilarious moments as a family, and it really made me realize that this is a special place," he said, very satisfied.
He also said that it was a special experience to be able to enjoy the characters he loved watching as a child with his children.
